Linn of Dee is just 5 miles west of Braemar off the A93. The centennial cup drive along the Dee Valley julius randle is a treat in itself. The walk goes roughly north through Glen Lui then Glen Derry. The video shows some of the beautiful scenery of this part of the Cairngorms National Park from the wooded areas at lower levels to the peaks and corries further into the walk. Around 10 hours of walking (at no great pace) compressed into a little over man city etihad name change 5 minutes. Total rise on the route of around 550m, most of that just before reaching the Loch.

This walk terminated at Loch Etchachan, however, there is the option to continue SW to Ben Macdui or N to Loch Avon.
