Arizona State University confirmed it has used 20 Flock automated license plate reader cameras on its Tempe campus since 2022. STORY: At least one camera sits along a walkway near Noble Library, where vehicle traffic is limited. ASU says it uses camera data only in investigations, in public areas and alongside other evidence. Students and the ACLU of Arizona question the scope of the surveillance, the use of AI analysis and whether information can be shared with other law enforcement agencies.
