Linda Sánchez (D-CA) sharply criticized the Treasury Department on Thursday, calling it “corrupt” over the deal President Trump reached with the Justice Department to receive audit immunity from the IRS.   “I think it’s pretty safe to say that this is probably the most corrupt Treasury Department in our nation’s history,” the congresswoman told Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during his appearance before the Ways and Means Committee. “While you dance around questions to protect Trump, Americans are suffering in Trump’s spiraling economy.”   Secretary Bessent pushed back on the accusation, rejecting Rep.
